Fried Squash Blossoms
Ingredients
1 Egg
1/2 Cup Flour
1/4 Cup Neutral Oil
Preheat oil on medium high in a frying pan. Use enough oil to heavily coat the pan.
Whisk egg and place in a shallow bowl
Add flour to a separate shallow bowl
Dredge squash blossoms in the egg, then into the flour
Fry until golden brown
Place on paper towels or a cooling rack and sprinkle with Romano (or Parmesan) cheese and black pepper to taste.
